Yin yoga is a slow and gentle practice which combines physical postures with awareness with the subtle body.
The poses are practised on the floor using bolsters, blankets and blocks to support the body and each pose is held between 3 and 5 minutes, to deeply relax the muscles, stimulate the connective tissues and to harmonize the flow of Chi in our body.
It is this subtle energy that, according to Chinese medicine, runs trough the meridians pathways of the body. Improving the flow of chi promotes physical health, emotional well-being and mental clarity.
