A practice where we start by gently moving our spine in all directions to stimulate blood circulation before we get into a sitting position for meditation on the 7 energy centres, the chakras.
In the West we believe that everything is concentrated in our brain but yogis believe that there are 7 important energy points along our spine. By placing awareness on each of the chakras using gentle breathing and repeating a one-syllable mantra while focusing on a specific point along our spine, we move and harmonise the energy circulating within us, and experience a wonderful sense of connection and joy.
